PURPOSE: A varifocal liquid crystal lens using a rotary spiral type transparent electrode is provided to simplify a producing process and form a symmetric lens similar to a real glass lens by implementing the varifocal liquid crystal lens according to the variation of a refraction rate generated in a gradient of an electric field. CONSTITUTION: A first transparent electrode layer(101) is formed on one side of a first glass substrate(100). A liquid crystal cell(102) is formed on the top side of the first transparent electrode layer and includes a liquid crystal molecule. A transparent film(103) is formed on the top side of the liquid crystal cell. A dual rotary spiral type transparent electrode(107a) is connected with a pair of electrode pads(107e) formed on one side of a second glass substrate(108). A first transparent insulation film(106) is formed on the bottom side of the dual rotary spiral type transparent electrode and opens a central part and a transparent electrode pad part. A first central transparent electrode(105a) is electrically connected with the central part of the dual rotary spiral type transparent electrode. A second transparent insulation film(104a) opens an electronic pad at an edge of the first central transparent electrode to the bottom side of the first central transparent electrode.
