PURPOSE: A vehicle system for automatic communication connection through recognition of a driver and a head unit included the vehicle system and a method thereof are provided to minimize time consumed for network connection by correctly recognizing a mobile terminal of the driver and by attempting network connection.;CONSTITUTION: A vehicle system for automatic communication connection comprises a camera(100) and a car head unit(200). The camera is installed inside a vehicle in order to photograph a face of a driver in a driver seat. The car head unit comprises a short distance communication unit(220), a driver information storage unit(230), and a control unit(240). The short distance communication unit is comprised for the short distance communication with an external device. The driver information storage unit comprises memory for the storage of a data which is related to a driver.
