PURPOSE: A distance-between-wheels variable type vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to easily adjust the width of a car body and effectively absorb lateral impact.;CONSTITUTION: A distance-between-wheels variable type vehicle comprises a fixed frame(5), a variable frame(1), and a vehicle control unit. The variable frame comprises four bars which are connected to at least one of both sides of the fixed frame in a parallelogram shape.
