PURPOSE: A turn number variable device for a steer-by-wire system is provided to improve the handling efficiency safely and rapidly by positively varying the maximum moving distance of a guide projection according to the driving speed of a vehicle and varying the maximum number of rotations of a steering wheel.;CONSTITUTION: A turn number variable device for a steer-by-wire system comprises a servo motor(13), a guide ball screw(18), and a restriction member(19). The servo motor is driven at the rotation direction and angle determined by control of a steer-by-wire controller(5) according to driving speed of a vehicle transmitted from a vehicle speed sensor(12). The guide ball screw is installed to be shaft-rotated by receiving the power of the servo motor. A screw thread(17) is longitudinally formed on the outer circumference of the guide ball screw. One end of the restriction member is combined to the screw thread of the guide ball screw and the other end is inserted into a guide hole(74a) formed in a stopper case(74). The restriction member restricts the moving distance of a nut plate(75) while moving according to the longitudinal direction of the guide ball screw in rotation of the guide ball screw.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2010
