LIGHT GUIDE PLATE HAVING A TWO DIMENSIONAL PATTERN FOR REMOVING A HOT SPOT PROBLEM BY INCLUDING SUBSTANTIALLY IDENTICAL MICRO-LENSES

PURPOSE: A light guide plate having a two dimensional pattern is provided to suppress a hot spot problem and to easily manufacture the light guide plate.;CONSTITUTION: A backlight unit(28) includes prism films(20,20a), diffusion films(24,24a), a lower surface reflective film(22), an upper surface reflective film(26), and a light guide plate(10). The light guide plate receives the light emitted from a light source(12) through a light receiving surface(18) and reorients the light through a lower surface(17), a cross section surface(14), a projecting surface(16), side surfaces, and the lower surface reflective film. The light guide plate has a micro-pattern composed by multiple micro-lenses(100). If the micro-lenses have the same shape and orientation angle, the micro-lenses are regarded as substantially identical micro-lenses.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
