AMNIOTIC FLUID-DERIVED STEM CELLS WHICH EXPRESS SUICIDE GENES AND A COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME FOR TREATING CANCER

PURPOSE: Amniotic fluid-derived stem cells which express suicide genes and a composition containing the same for treating cancer are provided to effectively treat cancer by conversion of a precursor drug into an anticancer material with cytotoxicity.;CONSTITUTION: Amniotic fluid-derived stem cells are transformed with an expression vector containing a nucleic acid molecule encoding a suicide gene and express the suicide gene. The suicide gene is selected among cytosine deaminase (CD) and herpes simplex virus thymidine kinase (HSV-TK). The stem cells are derived from human, pig, horse, cattle, mouse, rat, hamster, rabbit, goat, or sheep amniotic fluid. A pharmaceutical composition for an anticancer effect contains the stem cells as active ingredients.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2013
