PURPOSE: A device for detecting a player in a real time football image through comprehensive feature machine learning and a method thereof are provided to detect an area having a player in the football image. CONSTITUTION: An image analyzing device(200) includes a light and shade detecting unit(210) and a color detecting unit(220). The light and shade detecting unit detects a football player in the image by using the light and shade information of a photographed image of a football game scene. The color detecting unit determines whether a detected football player is correctly detected by the color information of the image.
