FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to drug delivery devices, such as a pen-type drug delivery device, providing the unassisted drug administration from a cartridge with a number of doses and enabling the user to set the delivered dose or to set one flat dose. A dose-setting mechanism for the drug delivery device with the cartridge comprises a body and a scaled sleeve, which is functionally related to the body. The scaled sleeve has an outer surface. The outer surface of the scaled sleeve comprises an indicator for the drug identification from the cartridge. The indicator is submerged, when a zero dose is set. At least, a portion of the indicator on the outer surface of the scaled sleeve is opened, when setting the dose exceeding zero.;EFFECT: invention possesses simple and clear aids to type and differentiate a drug from the device, as well as presents dynamic indicators enabling to avoid the user's addiction to the indicators and failure to follow their values.;11 cl, 4 dwg
