The housing (10) has a housing element (300) pluggable on another housing element (100), and a labyrinth seal formed between the housing elements. The seal is formed by a circumferential edge of the former housing element, a circumferential shoulder and a vertical portion of a side wall (140) of the latter housing element. The housing elements have two sets of fastening devices (350) designed as fixing domes and bridging domes, respectively. The housing elements are comprised of plastic and connectable by laser welding. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembly of an electronic controller.
