The housing has a transparent cover plate (1) and a base element (2), which together with the cover plate bounds the interior of the housing and whose exterior is applied to a holder element (3). A ventilation opening (4) connecting the housing interior with the ambient air is inserted into the base element and is enclosed by inner and outer guide elements (5,6) forming a ventilation labyrinth after mounting on the holder element. When the housing is in the mounted position, an outer guide element and an inner connecting element, which is mounted between two adjacent inner guide elements, are arranged above the ventilation opening.
