The electromotor has a rotor shaft (6) supported in a B-side bearing shield and an A-side bearing shields (4) over two bearings, respectively. A stator laminated core is provided with a stator winding and received in a stator housing (2). The stator housing is manufactured as a continuous casting part i.e. aluminum casting part. The continuous casting part comprises cooling passages for flow of a cooling medium. The stator housing is arranged between the two bearing shields. Two axial ends of the cooling passages open into two recesses of the two bearing shields, respectively.
