The arrangement has a reference signal generator (102) coupled with a digital to time converter (DTC)-input terminal of a DTC (106). A modulation generator (104) is coupled with another DTC-input terminal. A transmission path (114) is coupled with a DTC-output terminal. A feedback path (204) couples the DTC-output terminal with the latter DTC-input terminal. The path determines a phase or frequency correction value, which is applied to a modulation control value (Smod) provided by the modulation generator, for adjusting or correcting the control value before the control value reaches the DTC. An independent claim is also included for a phase compensation circuit.
