The loop has an integrator attached to an adjusting input of a discrete value tunable oscillator via a loop filter, and a feedback path with a counter (5) for outputting words derived from the signal of the oscillator and a reference signal. An output of the counter is coupled with an input terminal that is fed with a frequency word. A correction circuit (4) is attached to input and output of the integrator, where the circuit generates correction words derived from frequency adjusting words that are inputted to the input of the integrator and the words derived from the frequency word. An independent claim is also included for a method for adjusting interference portions in an output signal of a digital phase locked loop.
