The base comprises a plurality of pouch reception portions wherein each one of the plurality of reception portions 133 comprises a fastening element 40 for receiving and mechanically supporting at least one of a plurality of pouches. A pair of electrical contact elements is provided for contacting the electrochemical cell in the pouch.
