PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for smoothly conducting payment of a reasonable compensation value, when an article has been lost, between a user who is an owner of the lost property and a finder.;SOLUTION: A lost property tracking device 1 registers tag information which is printed with address information on a tag attached to an article that may be lost by a user, in an article registration DB 101 together with identification information of the article. A compensation value management section 12 computes a compensation value in response to a message that an article has been found, on the basis of a market transaction price of the article specified by the identification information. The computed compensation value is recorded for an update in a compensation value DB 102, in association with the tag information. This processing is repeated every time a market transaction price is acquired. When address information is read out and tag information is acquired from an accessed operation terminal 3, a display control section 14 reads out the latest compensation value associated with the tag information and displays the read-out compensation value on the operation terminal 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
