HEAT TREATMENT METHOD FOR MALLEABLE CAST IRON, AND CASTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat treatment method for malleable cast iron capable of obtaining a casting having excellent plating properties.;SOLUTION: This method is one treatment for producing a casting obtained by generating a plating layer on the surface of a casting stock made of malleable cast iron, and, in heat treatment for malleable cast iron after the casting of the casting stock, using a vessel for heat treatment having a loading chamber made air-tight to the ambient air and having a vessel for heat treatment heated in a heating furnace. The casting stock is loaded into the loading chamber of the vessel for heat treatment and is annealed, and is thereafter subjected to a cooling step of being cooled at a cooling rate of 100 to 5,000°C/h till the casting stock reaches 575°C or lower.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
