PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail abrasion shape estimation device and the like capable of precisely predicting an abrasion shape of a rail according to passing tonnage.;SOLUTION: A rail abrasion shape estimation device 10 stores rail cross-sectional shapes corresponding to different passing tonnages, namely rail cross sectional shape data 25, which is data discretized for each predetermined interval in the outer peripheral direction of a rail, in a storage part 12, accepts input of a required passing tonnage, and calculates a relation between the position of the outer peripheral part of the rail cross section and the passing tonnage as a relational expression based on a plurality of rail cross-sectional shape data corresponding to the different passing tonnages. A rail cross-sectional shape at a required passing tonnage is calculated by calculating the position of the outer peripheral part of the rail cross section at the required passing tonnage based on the relational expression.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
