PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for inspection on the presence or absence of deterioration of content even when packaged foods have not changed in their appearance.;SOLUTION: The deterioration inspection apparatus 10 for inspecting a packaged product 13 housing content which solidifies when it is deteriorated includes a transfer means for transferring the packaged food, a near infrared light source 11 for irradiating near infrared rays 18 to the packaged product 13, a light-receiving part 12 for receiving near infrared rays transmitted through the packaged product 13, and a determination means for comparing received near infrared rays of a specific wavelength with a reference sample to determine the presence or absence of deterioration of the content of the packaged product 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
