PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lactobacillus growth promoter which shortens a fermentation time in dairy products such as yogurt, cheese, milk beverage, etc., and maintains survivability of lactobacillus for a long period of time and a survivability improver.;SOLUTION: The lactobacillus growth promoter comprises dead cells of lactobacillus or a culture containing dead cells of lactobacillus as an active ingredient. Dairy products containing ≥0.001% based on dry weight of the dead cells of lactobacillus promotes lactobacillus growth and improves survivability of lactobacillus during preservation without having an adverse effect on flavor and cost of product.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
