PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques which can promote growth under the environment in which the number of Bifidobacterium bacteria or lactic acid bacteria increases or does not change, and which can inhibit decrease under the environment in which the number of the bacteria decreases.SOLUTION: Provided is a growth-promoting and/or decrease-inhibiting agent of Bifidobacterium bacteria and/or lactic acid bacteria, containing Spirulina as an active ingredient. An oral composition containing Spirulina and at least one bacteria selected from a group consisting of Bifidobacterium bacteria and lactic acid bacteria is also provided. Further, provided is a method of growth-promoting and/or decrease-inhibiting Bifidobacterium bacteria and/or lactic acid bacteria, the method comprising allowing Spirulina and at least one bacteria selected from the group consisting of Bifidobacterium bacteria and lactic acid bacteria to coexist.SELECTED DRAWING: None
