PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation angle position detecting device facilitating construction of a device requiring to secure safety and preferable for shortening operation start wait time.;SOLUTION: A resolver device 100 comprises a single-pole resolver 30a. A relay device 200 comprises a memory 66 for storing reference rotation angle information showing an upper limit rotation angle and a lower limit rotation angle of a rotor 12. A digital angle signal value obtained by sampling a single-pole resolver signal is input, a rotation angle position is calculated on the basis of the input digital angle signal value. When it is determined that the calculated rotation angle position exceeds the upper limit rotation angle on the basis of the reference rotation angle information of the memory 66, or when it is determined that it is below the lower limit rotation angle, it is determined that the rotor 12 has invaded a rotation inhibit area, and an abnormality detection signal indicating that the rotation angle position is at an abnormal rotation angle is output.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
