PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cell stack of a horizontally striped solid oxide fuel battery capable of restraining oxidation of a porous support at a gas discharge side while its tip part is hardly destroyed, and a fuel battery using the cell stack. PSOLUTION: In the cell stack 1a of a horizontally striped solid oxide fuel battery wherein a plurality of fuel battery cells 13 where a fuel electrode layer, a solid electrolyte layer 13b, and an air electrode layer 13c are laminated in order are arranged along a longitudinal direction of the porous support 11 on the porous support 11 internally having a gas passage 12 for flowing fuel gas along a longitudinal direction and having a fuel introduction inlet of the gas passage 12 at one end side and having a fuel gas discharge outlet of the gas passage at the other end side, an inorganic film 25 including silicate containing at least one kind among group III elements of the periodic table is arranged on at least a part of a range at the other end side of the porous support 11.
