PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book content providing system for bringing a new profit source into a new-book bookstore, a publishing company, etc., without impairing conventional business in a secondhand bookstore by providing a new way to enjoy a book.;SOLUTION: A card 15 including authentication information such as an ID 15c, etc. belongs to a book 13. A bar code 17 with validation information recorded thereon is described on a bag 16 covered binding the card 15 by the book 13. In selling the book 13, an information processing terminal 4 in a bookstore 3 reads the bar code 17 to transmit a validation request including validation information to a security server 7. The security server 7 receives the validation request to validate the authentication information and invalidates the information at predetermined timing. The user who purchased the book 13 makes a transmission request for content data by means of an information processing terminal 5 to transmit the authentication information.
