PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric nanopore material having a high dielectric constant.;SOLUTION: Barium titanyl oxalate is fired to obtain calcined powder of barium titanate. The calcined powder of barium titanate is admixed with 10 wt.% of polymethyl methacrylate particulates having an average particle diameter of 150 nm and is subjected to wet blending. After drying, the mixture is pelletized by uniaxial press molding, and is then fired at 1,300°C in a nitrogen atmosphere to obtain a sintered compact of barium titanate having closed nanopores. The porosity of the sintered compact is 10%. Further, in microstructure observation in the cross section of the sintered compact, closed pores with a pore diameter of 100 to 200 nm is observed. The dielectric constant of the sintered compact is about twice the dielectric constant of a dense barium titanate sintered compact.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
