The present invention relates to method of determining applicability of certain strain or mixture of strains of brewers yeast for testing usability of the given strain or the mixture of strains of brewers yeast for HGB technology wherein the invented method is characterized in that the given strain or a mixture of strains of brewers yeast is inoculates in a culture medium formed by a sterile hopped wort with extract content of at least 16 percent by weight comprising at least 7 percent by volume ethanol, and is cultivated at a temperature ranging from about 10 to about 12 degC, whereby if at least after 120 hours of cultivation the culture medium creates a sediment, the corresponding strain or the mixture of strains of brewers yeast is suitable for testing usability for the HGB technology in a standard manner.
