The invention relates to a method for preventing and treating prostate diseases and male urogenital dysfunctions by physiotherapy, in which the prostate is subjected for an unlimited number of times to a massage performed by exerting a force leading to pubococcygeal pelvic muscle contractions with gradual increase of the withstanding force and relaxations with gradual decrease thereof, at the same time, the pubococcygeal muscle and, further on, the prostate being subjected to vibration. The invention also relates to an apparatus for carrying out the method, consisting of a ring (6) for holding the penis by means of a clamping element (7) attached to the ring (6), a tensioned wire (8) guided by two pulleys (9 and 10) and connected to a traction system comprising some discs (3) with weights, provided with a fixing element (15) for selecting the number of discs which make up the weight of the traction force exerted, a spring (18) and a vibrating piece (19) being also provided on the tensioned wire (8).
