The invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and to medicine.The inventive agent which is used for treating patients suffering from ethylalcohol and/or narcotic dependence and psychosomatic and neurological complicationsof such patients, is produced in the form of polyprenols of formula (I), whereinn=8-20. The pharmaceutical composition for treating patients suffering fromethyl alcohol and/or narcotic dependence and psychosomatic and neurologicalcomplications of such patients, contains an effective quantity of polyprenolsof formula (I), wherein n=8-20, and pharmaceutically acceptable carriers and/orsolvents. Said composition is produced in the form of a solution, suspension,capsule or a tablet or in the liposomal form. The use of the polyprenols of formula(I), wherein n=8-20, in the form of an active ingredient of the composition fortreating patients suffering from ethyl alcohol and/or narcotic dependenceand psychosomatic and neurological complications of such patients, is disclosed.A method for treating patients suffering from ethyl alcohol and/or narcoticdependence and psychosomatic and neurological complications of such patients,consists in administering the polyprenols of formula (I) wherein n=8-20.
