A radio wave detection apparatus, which is to be disposed in a particular area where wireless communications using a first communication mode are inhibited or restricted, comprises: a detection unit that detects the radio waves generated in wireless communications using the first communication mode; and a transmission unit that uses a second communication mode to transmit a report signal including both apparatus identification information used for uniquely identifying the radio wave detection apparatus and a detection result of the detection unit. As a result, it can be easily done at low cost to provide and operate a system that can efficiently monitor wireless communications using a mobile terminal within a particular area.
