The terminal, which receives channel status information reference signals (CSI-RSs) transmitted from a base station, comprising: a configuration information receiving unit for receiving, from the base station, CSI-RS configuration information which includes information on the number of CSI-RS antenna ports for horizontal antennas in the antenna arrays of the base station and information indicating resources (CSI-RS patterns) used for CSI-RSs for the horizontal antennas in a predetermined subframe; a configuration checking unit for extracting the number of CSI-RS antenna ports for vertical antennas and CSI-RS patterns for the vertical antennas, on the basis of the information on the number of CSI-RS antenna ports for the horizontal antennas and the information indicating CSI-RS patterns for the horizontal antennas, if it is determined that CSI-RSs for the vertical antennas are transmitted; and a reference signal receiving unit for receiving the CSI-RSs for the horizontal antennas and the CSI-RSs for the vertical antennas.
