The invention relates to a control system (1) for an automation plant, which has a field bus (2), which comprises a field bus line (5) and at least two field bus devices (4a-4e) connected thereto, and a command/signalling group (3), the group (3) comprising a communication unit (9) connected to the field bus (2) and at least one command/signalling device (10a-10c) connected to the communication unit (9) by means of a system bus (11). The control system (1) further comprises a development system (6) for configuring the field bus (2). The communication unit (9) and the or each of the command/signalling devices (10a-10c) of the group (3) can be directly displayed and configured and parametrised in the development system (6).
