PURPOSE: An area selecting method in a web document using a dome tree based mouse is provided to offer a direct user interface by selecting a specific area by using a wheel up and down method in a dome tree structure. CONSTITUTION: A control unit displays a web document at a lower node and a node in which a pointer is located(S30). The control unit searches a node which is satisfied with selection reference(S41). The control unit displays a searched node and the lower node as a selection area on the web document(S43). The control unit determines the wheel up state of a mouse(S50).
