PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document retrieval device having a ranking model selection function capable of selecting an optimal ranking model for an input query.;SOLUTION: A transformation matrix that increases similarity among queries is created from a retrieval evaluation index value (MAP value) among the queries, and a ranking model of a query having a maximum similarity is stored in an optimal model DB106 as an optimal model for the query. The optimal model corresponding to the input retrieval query is obtained from the DB106.
