The headlight lens (100) has main portion that is made of transparent material, and provided with light entry surface (101) and optically active light exit surface (102). A light tunnel (108) in main portion merges with bend (107) in light conduction portion (109) for forming the bend as light/dark boundary. A radiation of light enters into headlight lens through light entry surface, and exits from headlight lens through light exit surface for forming bend as light/dark boundary. At least 80% of radiation of light enters the headlight lens. An independent claim is included for a headlight of motor vehicle.
