The car has a stowage box (7) covered with two closure systems i.e. storage compartment cover and roller blind, where an interior of the stowage box is illuminated with a light source. The light source is overlapped with two light guides within the stowage box at the closure systems. The light source extends within the closure systems and illuminates a function element (9). The light source is arranged close to an edge of the stowage box, and the light guides are arranged in front of the light source.
