The apparatus (50) has brake operating element (56) that applies driver braking force (Ff) transferred to simulator spring (52). The applied driver braking force is deformed opposite to spring force. A hydraulic or pneumatic connection unit (60) is connected to hydraulic or pneumatic component (58) of brake system so that hydraulic or pneumatic component causes pressure deformation at simulator spring causing counteracting force (Fg).
