PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique to extract electronic documents.SOLUTION: The technique provides a web-based graphical user interface that enables a user to build a complex query including Boolean phrases, adjacent phrases and/or keyword phrases without the need for the user to have practical knowledge on query language. The web-based graphical user interface further enables the user to define semantic meaning of one or more search terms. The technique further enables the user to create various types of reports on search results, and may apply various types of filters to manage the amount of report data and may apply the semantic meaning to increase the relevance. A time/cost estimation unit provides estimated review time for the search results. The technique further includes a technique to perform advanced search using results of simple search, and a technique to estimate the cost and/or time to review search results using a logical custodian, and performing tag-equipped analysis.
