PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lateral buckling stiffening structure of a steel frame beam capable of improving lateral buckling bearing force, while restraining cost, by installing a stiffener of a simple shape in an effective position.;SOLUTION: A lateral buckling stiffening structure is applied to a steel frame beam 1 composed of H-shaped steel and becoming a girder of vertically positioning flanges 1a and 1b. A plate-like stiffening plate 2 is provided over between upper-lower flanges 1a and 1b along the length direction of the steel frame beam 1 in the width direction in a place in the vicinity of this beam end by separating from the beam end of the steel frame beam 1. Both upper-lower ends of the stiffening plate 2 are respectively welded to the upper-lower flanges 1a and 1b. Assuming the length of the steel frame beam 1 as L, the length l, which is up to the center in the width direction of the stiffening plate 2 from the beam end of the steel frame beam 1, is set within a range of 0.09 L or 0.16 L.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2015,JPO&INPIT
