PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate options for identifying a formal name.SOLUTION: A candidate output device 100 has a conversion rule corresponding to each character string. The candidate output device 100 also includes an abbreviation table storing identification information on each financial institution, a formal name of the financial institution, and an abbreviation of the financial institution while making the identification information, the formal name, and the abbreviation correspond to one another. First, the candidate output device 100 acquires character data. Next, the candidate output device 100 converts a transfer destination name according to the conversion rule corresponding to a specific character string and generates a plurality of transfer destination names if the transfer destination name indicated by the character data contains the specific character string. The candidate output device 100 outputs a formal name candidate of the financial institution corresponding to each transfer destination name.
