PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of producing an expandable sake in which carbon dioxide gas generated by fermentation is dissolved easily.SOLUTION: A fermentation container 4 including a main fermenting mash 3 is inserted into a sake container 2 including a sake 1, then the fermentation container 4 is disposed on a liquid level upper part inner space 7 from a mouth part 2c of the sake container 2 to a liquid level 1a. In the sake container 2, the liquid level upper part inner space 7 and the inside of the fermentation container 4 are communicated each other via a plug 6 which has air permeability. When the main fermenting mash 3 is fermented, generated carbon dioxide gas 8 enters the sake container 2 and dissolves in the sake 1. When carbon dioxide gas content concentration in the sake 1 reaches a predetermined value or more than, the fermentation container 4 is taken out from the sake container 2.
