PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a carrier having a high efficiency compared with a conventional surface treatment of a carrier and improved adhesion between the carrier and gel electrophoresis medium.;SOLUTION: The carrier whose surface coming into contact with media, is covered with a diamond-like carbon layer and in which gel electrophoresis medium is loaded, is provided. Solution including nonionic radical polymerizable monomer fills the carrier, and is polymerized to form water-containing gel.
