Reasons of interaction of plant transactivation and use of them. The present invention relates to compositions and methods for enhancing expression of a polynucleotide of interest. Some embodiments relate to novel transactivating polypeptides and variants thereof that have been identified in plants, and methods of using them. Particular embodiments concern the use of at least one DNA-binding polypeptide of a fusion protein to target at least one transactivating polypeptide or variant of a specific nucleic acid binding site comprising the polynucleotide of interest, such as so that its expression can be increased.
