Diaphragm analysis method comprises introducing an aqueous alkali chloride solution to the anode region and to the cathode region of an electrolysis cell, where the two regions are separated from one another by a diaphragm, to form an anolyte solution and a catholyte solution and adding a metal sulfate to the alkali chloride solution for increasing the catholyte production.
