The method of minimizing projection error when scanning and analyzing processes by a camera system, according to the present invention (diagram – see Figure), is characterized in that a measuring beam (2´) is transmitted in the direction perpendicular to a plane of a scanner, parallel to a beam (1´) of a camera system shooting and the horizontal and vertical position of the camera system (1) is set such that the distance to a process plane determined by the measuring beam is minimal (Lmin). The invention also discloses an apparatus for carrying out the above-described method, wherein the apparatus is characterized in that a laser distance meter (2) is clamped, in addition to a camera system (1), on a common clamping part and the measuring beam (2´) of said laser distance meter (2) is parallel to the beam (1´) of the camera system (1) shooting.
