METHOD FOR PRODUCING THERMOELECTRIC PbTe WITH ZnO NANOINCLUSIONS

A method for producing thermoelectric PbTe with ZnO nanoinclusions consists in that high purity class components: lead (Pb), tellurium (Te) are charged in an evacuated quartz ampoule, held under the temperature above the melting temperature of the components, subject to homogenizing annealing, air-cooled to room temperature, compacted and then annealed. To the thermoelectric PbTe nanosized ZnO powder is added in the amount of 0.5 wt. %.
