electrically tunable photonic device based on resonance caused by guided lossy modes. # The invention relates to an electrically tunable photonic device such as a filter or sensor consisting of an optical fiber modified and coated with a thin film of absorbent material (1) the wavelength of the light applied. Filtering technique is based on the generation of one or more resonances caused by a loss guided (English lossy mode resonance - LMR) modes. The device combines the advantages of an optical fiber design, portable and small-sized with the advantage of simplifying the manufacturing process of the device by using the fiber as substrate itself.
