INTELLIGENT CONTROL METHOD FOR TRAFFIC LIGHT AT HIGHWAY INTERSECTION

An intelligent control method for a traffic light at a highway intersection comprises setting detecting lane sections of the lane and a traffic flow detection meter; setting the traffic light; and an information processor analyzing and processing the traffic flow and controlling the traffic light. The method has the advantages of: 1. eliminating the coexistence of lane jam and lane idleness, maximumly utilizing the lane resources at the highway intersection, and improving the intersection traffic efficiency; 2. due to the improvement of the traffic efficiency, the reactive power consumption of vehicle fuel and energy is reduced, the cost and time are saved, and the waste gas discharge is reduced; 3. relatively reducing waiting time for passing of a vehicle driver in the lane sections or periods with a few traffic flows, so that impatient emotion of the driver can be effectively relieved, and second rushing, lane rushing and traffic accidents arising therefrom are reduced.
