The present invention provides a current switch including a blade-type movable contact 26 configured to extend in a radial direction from a pivoting center P and reciprocatingly move such that a free end of the movable contact 26 draws a pivoting track, a fixed contact 20 including energizing members 31 separated from the movable contact 26 and arranged to be opposed to and substantially in parallel to each other on both sides across a pivoting surface of the movable contact 26 and an outer frame 45 configured to cover at least the periphery of the energizing members 31, a movable arc contact 1 provided in the movable contact 26, fixed arc contacts 2 provided in the fixed contact 20, and permanent magnets 3a and 3b arranged on the inside of the fixed contact 20 or the movable contact 26 to generate a magnetic field that crosses an arc 4 generated between the movable arc contact 1 and the fixed arc contacts 2.
