An electronic percussion instrument and a contactless sensor (130) thereof, and a signal detection method. The electronic percussion instrument comprises a grounded conductive percussion surface (120) and a contactless sensor (130), wherein the contactless sensor (130) comprises an oscillation circuit (131) used for generating an oscillation signal; a transmitting end (132) used for transmitting the oscillation signal to generate an alternating electric field, wherein the percussion surface (120) is arranged in the alternating electric field to disturb the alternating electric field; a receiving end (133) used for coupling with the alternating electric field to obtain a modulation signal; a demodulation circuit (134) used for demodulating the modulation signal from the receiving end (133); and an interface circuit (135) used for outputting the demodulated signal. The sensor (130) used by the electronic percussion instrument does not need to be in contact with the percussion surface (120) of the instrument, the vibration performance of the instrument itself will not be affected, and the uniformity of the vibration detection can be greatly improved. Since the percussion instrument uses the percussion surface (120) to realize carrier modulation, the circuit structure of the sensor (130) is simplified, costs are reduced, and the anti-interference performance is increased.
