A lighting device is proposed which comprises the following components:- A mounting base (12) having a mounting interface (13) for mounting to the ground and a base mounting interface (14) for fixing a light carrier (15 a, 15 b),a first light carrier (15a) having a carrier mounting interface (36) for attachment to the associated socket mounting interface (14) and having a single carrier coupling interface (38) for coupling to a lamp unit (39a, b),- A second light carrier (15b) having a carrier mounting interface (36) for attachment to the associated socket mounting interface (14) and a plurality of carrier coupling interfaces (38) for coupling with a plurality of lamp units (39a-d), optionally the first or the second light carrier (15a, 15b) can be fastened or fastened to the mounting base (12) via the associated fastening interfaces (14, 36),- A plurality of lamp units (39a-d), each having a lamp housing (52) and a plurality in the lamp housing (52) accommodated lamps, wherein the lamp housing (52) has a housing coupling interface (53) through which the lamp unit (39a-d ) at the associated carrier coupling interface (38) with the light carrier (15a, 15b) can be coupled, wherein optionally a single lamp unit (39a, b) via the mutually associated coupling interfaces (38, 53) with the first light carrier (15a) is coupled or one or more lamp units (39a-d) can be coupled or coupled to the second light carrier (15b) via the mutually associated coupling interfaces (38, 53).
