The present invention relates to a composition for promoting erythroid cells differentiation or proliferation comprising a monoacetyldiacylglycerol compound as an active ingredient, and to a pharmaceutical composition and a health functional food composition for preventing, treating, or alleviating erythropenia. The monoacetyldiacylglycerol compound of the present invention has excellent promoting effects of erythroid cells differentiation or proliferation, thereby being used for a composition for preventing, treating, or alleviating erythropenia as a compound which overcomes side effects of an existing anemia medicine, has no toxicity, and is highly effective.
